ANSBACH, Germany (October 16, 2019) – U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach held its Retiree Appreciation Day at the Von Steuben Community Center on Bismarck Kaserne, Oct. 16.
The annual event helps support approximately 1,400 veterans from all branches of service, to include retirees, spouses and widows in the Ansbach and surrounding areas.
“This is a great opportunity for our Retired Soldiers, Retirees, and their Families to be made aware of updates and changes to their retirement benefits,” said Col. Steven M. Pierce, USAG Ansbach commander. “This event also helps bring together the retired and Active Duty communities who have many shared experiences and sacrifices in common.”
More than 15 organizations within USAG Ansbach to include the Retirement Services Office and Survivor Outreach Services, health and dental clinics, U.S. Veterans Affairs, Red Cross, Tricare, Army Emergency Relief, U.S. Consulate and Legal were available to provide information to attendees.
