Stars and Stripes’ Letter to Santa

Every year, Stars and Stripes displays the wonderful letters written to Santa Claus by children in the military community living in Europe, Turkey, and Bahrain. Participants can write a letter to Santa Claus courtesy of Stars and Stripes at the North Pole and drop it in their MPS mailbox, or Post Office. All letters postmarked by Dec. 20 will receive a letter back from Santa as well.

Stars and Stripes will be accepting letters until Dec. 20. The letters will be uploaded to the website:  and some may be shared on the Stars and Stripes Europe Facebook page at or read on air with Armed Forces Network (AFN). Parents can visit the website to view their child’s letter and even share it with friends and family.

Through this process, Stars and Stripes does not share any personal information on the Letters to Santa website, aside from the child’s first name. In addition, they do not publish letters that are indecent, suggestive, offensive, contain attacks of a personal, racial, or religious nature, or which reflect unfavorably on competitive organizations, institutions, or merchandise.
