ANSBACH, Germany (March 31, 2017) – U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach held the kick-off event for April as Month of the Military Child Thursday at the Katterbach Kaserne Child Development and School Age Center.

The event, which included the reading of the MoMC proclamation, included cake, arts and crafts, face painting, and a bounce house.

Several organizations were present to support the event. Col. Benjamin C. Jones, USAG Ansbach commander, attended with garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Derek R. Cuvellier. Jones read the proclamation. Members of the New Parent Support Program made buttons for the children. Educational and Developmental Intervention Services helped the children make pasta necklaces. And the Parent Advisory Council helped make the children hand puppets and painted their faces.

This month, in addition to the services Child, Youth and School Services provides, the child- and family-friendly group The Imagination Movers, is playing a show April 20 at 6 p.m. at the Katterbach Fitness Center.
