Military, Family Life Consultant program set to provide short-term, non-medical counseling support

ANSBACH, Germany (Jan. 11, 2015) – Many Soldiers and Family members in the U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach community have a valuable resource in the form of the Military and Family Life Consultants, or MFLCs.

MFLCs are licensed clinicians with a master’s degree and at least five years of experience in social work or counseling. They provide anonymous and confidential assistance to Soldiers and their Families. MFLCs do not take notes, records, or any form of identifying information.

The MFLC program provides short-term, non-medical counseling support for a range of issues including relationships, crisis intervention, stress and anger management, grief, occupational and other individual and familial concerns.

There is no fee for their services. MFLCs can meet with you in their offices or in such places as the library, local restaurant or bowling alley. To schedule a meeting with a Military and Family Life Consultant, call 0160-98350753 or 0151-18123764  for USAG Ansbach; 0174-1476843 for 12th Combat Aviation Brigade; or 0171-8497174 for Storck Barracks.
