The U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach Directorate of Public works is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers for its Cross Functional Team.

Are you passionate about our planet, our environment, and conservation of our natural resources? Do you want to be an agent of change – with novel ideas and actions – to make this world a better place for our children and their children? Do you want to be part of a passionate team that feels the same as you, make some new friends, and make a difference?

If so, the DPW invites you to join its Cross Functional Team!

The team is part of the DPW’s Environmental Management Division, and consists of five separate functional lines of effort: energy, water, recycling, green procurement, and awareness. Perhaps one of these areas interests you.

Our team’s mission:  Find unique and successful ways to reduce consumption of our natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, reduce waste, educate community members, and find ways to make our garrison more sustainable.

USAG Ansbach spends $17 million on utilities each year. If we could reduce consumption by only 5 percent, that would be a savings of $850,000 per year – which could be used for projects in the garrison.  Not to mention, any reduction in utilities, waste or consumption protects the environment and safeguards our finite natural resources.

So, if you want to help make a difference, make some friends, and do something positive, the garrison and its DPW would love for you to join the team.

Simply send an Interactive Customer Evaluation, or ICE, comment to the DPW with your name and email address, and someone from DPW will contact you directly: http://ice.disa.mil/index.cfm?fa=site&site_id=158.
