Grapes, chocolate, turkey bones, and other holiday foods forbidden to furry family

During the holidays, household pets may visit the table to beg for scraps, and the USAG Ansbach Veterinary Treatment Facility wants your four-legged Family members to be safe.

The following foods can potentially be fatal to your pets. Most will at least cause upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, seizures, and/or several other serious complications.

  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Grapes
  • Raisins
  • Mushrooms
  • Sage
  • Bread dough
  • Beer or other alcohol
  • Fatty foods (fried turkey/chicken, ham, turkey skin, gravy, etc.)
  • Turkey bones
  • Chocolate

The Veterinary Treatment Facility at Katterbach Kaserne is scheduled to close Friday, Nov. 11, Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25. Additionally, the Veterinary Treatment Facility will close Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 2.
