Community Integrated Amazing Race highlights suicide prevention and domestic violence awareness

ANSBACH, Germany (Oct. 6, 2017)  – More than 200 participants from the Ansbach Military Community took part in the annual Community Integrated Amazing Race Oct. 5 at Urlas Kaserne. Soldiers competed individually and in teams for a cumulative score for awards and a variety of prizes provided by the Ansbach MWR. The annual event – which combines events that challenge Soldier readiness, fitness and endurance – highlighted the importance of suicide prevention and domestic violence awareness throughout the course.

Healthy snacks and drinks on site were available free of charge provided by the Ansbach VFW, the local branch of the Community Bank and the USO.

The theme of the event this year was “Resiliency – Fit Soldiers and Families” which participants and spectators alike made real through local support, fellowship and camaraderie.
