Fire Prevention Week is observed Oct. 8 – 12; USAG Ansbach’s Fire Departments has scheduled many educational and fun events for community members of all ages throughout the week of Oct. 8 – 12, highlighting the importance of fire safety and prevention.
USAG Ansbach will be hosting a monthly Community Leaders Information Forum (CLIF) starting Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Von Steuben Community Center on Bismarck Kaserne.

USAG Ansbach has started a program called Share-a-ride to help facilitate transportation to destinations outside regular scheduled bus routes or bus cancellations.
A potentially dangerous caterpillar species was recently discovered all over USAG Ansbach territory. Community members are reminded to stay away from the caterpillars and the nests, as they are considered a pest hazardous to the health of humans and animals. USAG Ansbach has hired pest control professionals to safely remove the nests.
USAG Ansbach has completed its routine Legionella bacteria testing of community facilities and housing. Tests conducted by a certified lab contractor show that no location in the USAG Ansbach community requires corrective action.
