Holiday Bazaar

A three-day holiday bazaar is coming to the Katterbach Fitness Center Nov. 19 – 21. This community event is an international shoppers’ bazaar that provides a safe and convenient tax – free shopping experience for eligible patrons. This would be a great opportunity to purchase items for families and for the upcoming holiday season. Items for sale include Polish pottery, Italian/German wine, schnaps, Italian/Dutch cheese, meats, sweets, Christmas decorations, woodworking, furniture, teas, pillows, bedding, paintings, Lederhosen & Dirndl, cutlery, pots, pans, WWI & WWII memorabilia, glass, bread pots, Turkish carpets & souvenirs, chocolate & more! Beautify the Garrison


Help us beautify the Garrison by planting flower bulbs wherever on the kasernes. Flower bulbs are available at the Self Help Store or DPW Environmental. DPW is looking for volunteers for planting of flower bulbs…Daffodils, Crocus and Tulips need to get into the ground/soil at prepared areas of Katterbach and Urlas on  Saturday 20 Nov starting 8:30 a.m. until done.  Meet at Bismarck Kaserne, bldg. 5843-B, parking lot next to archway. You can do the planting also during the week if Saturday will not work for you. Contact Jürgen Stöhr at 467-3423 for further information.

Financial Readiness is holding an Investing 101 class on 22 Nov at 1300 in the ACS classroom. Learn how to make your money work for you.

Drivers Training Testing Office Closure

Due to unavoidable circumstances the Ansbach Drivers Training Testing Section will be closed on the following days Nov. 24 and 26 and will reopen on 29 Nov.

Community Thanksgiving Service

A Thanksgiving Chapel Service will be held at the Chapel  at 10:30 a.m. 24 Nov prior to the Katterbach Dining Facility event.


Community Bank open Thanksgiving

Community Banks at Katterbach and Storck Barracks will be open on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, from 0900 to 1200 only.

CYS Coloring/Drawing Contest

Theme: Why I Love My Military Family”! There is still time to create your drawing and participate!  Selected winners will receive a prize and have the opportunity to have their drawing selected for the cover of the CYS parent handbook.

  • Entries must be on an 8” x 11 piece of white paper.
  • Hand drawn and hand colored (representing the theme “Why I Love my Military Family”
  • Entries must be turned in to the Child Development School Age Center, B 9028 by 12:00 noon on 24 November 2021.
