March 19 – 5K Leprechaun Chase

Embrace your inner green spirit and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at our 3rd Annual 5K Leprechaun Chase Saturday, March 19.

Start and finish will be at the Katterbach Fitness Center; check-in and same day registration opens at 9 a.m. The race starts at 10 a.m.

The first 25 registered runners will receive a t-shirt; a $15 early bird registration is available through March 16; regular registration cost is $20. Children can sign up for $5 (without a t-shirt). March 19 – Trip to Dachau and Munich

Take a one-day trip to Dachau, the first concentration camp that the Nazi party built and which served as a blueprint for future concentration camps in Germany’s darkest period.

Afterwards, the group will head into München and explore Bayern’s largest city with an opportunity to eat at one of München’s famous beer halls.

March 20 – Sound of Music Sing-along

Terrace Playhouse presents the “Sing-along Sound of Music” at the Sadowski Theater Sunday, March 20, starting at 2 p.m. (doors open 30 minutes prior). Dress up as a character, sing along to the popular tunes to lyrics on the big screen and test your knowledge of the Sound of Music in a trivia contest! Best yodeler and costume will be rewarded! March 22 – All Stars of Comedy

Get ready for big-time laughs with the All Stars of Comedy, coming to Ansbach Tuesday, March 22, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Von Steuben Community Center on Bismarck Kaserne.

Open to adults 18 and above. There is no cost to attend the event.

March 25 – Four-day Ski/Snowboard Trip to Saalbach-Hinterglemm

March 25-27 – 2022 IMCOM-Europe Varsity Volleyball Tournament

Ansbach Family and MWR Sports Branch will host this year’s IMCOM-Europe Varsity Volleyball Tournament March 25-27 at Katterbach Fitness Center.

March 29 – April 1 – CYSitter Training

Teenagers, 13 years and older, can learn key life skills and gain a sense of responsibility by participating in the CYSitter Program. APRIL Sneak Peek

April 7 – Prevention Awareness 5K

Bringing awareness to sexual assault and harassment prevention, suicide prevention, child abuse prevention, and substance abuse prevention. Participants can run, walk, or bike the 5K route, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Katterbach Fitness Center.

Stay for family-friendly activities and refreshments beginning at 6 p.m.

April 9 – Sons of Circus

Sons of Circus, an Armed Forces Entertainment Show, is an amazing performance of juggling, unicycling and acrobatics. Fun for everyone! Show starts at 3 p.m. at the Sadowski Theater; doors open at 2:30 p.m.

April 9 – Keukenhof Gardens/Amsterdam Trip

Enjoy the famous Keukenhof Gardens at the time when the tulips are in full bloom. Entrance tickets must be purchased in advance online at www.keukenhof.nl. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore Amsterdam on your own, visiting such places as the Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, the Heineken

Brewery and more. Be sure to book the Anne Frank House in advance. The trip departs Katterbach at 10 p.m., Shipton at 10:15 p.m., and Storck at 11 p.m. on Friday and returns approximately 7:00 a.m. Sunday. Trip includes transportation only.

April 15 – 17 – Italian Pottery Shopping and Sightseeing

Shop the famous handmade pottery factories of northern Italy. Visit one of the Italian factories that produce for Williams & Sonoma and other famous retailers. After shopping, we will spend the night in the town of Nove. On day two, we will head to Venice for a day to explore the city and its canals before returning to the hotel. On day three, we will check out and make a brief stop in Verona, the setting of Romeo and Juliet, before returning home. Trip departs Thursday night from Storck Barracks at 11 p.m., Shipton at 11:45 p.m., and Katterbach at midnight and returns at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday evening. Trip includes transportation and two nights in a hotel with breakfast.
