Ansbach Community, please take the time to participate in the Community Strengths and Themes Assessment (CSTA) survey. The results received will help to inform the Commander’s Readiness and Resilience Council (CR2C) on priorities that community members want to address. Your thoughts about what is important to your installation; quality of life; and how we can improve community health, wellness, readiness, and resiliency. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes. Thank you for participating and sharing your voice!

As summer travel becomes more tangible, the garrison security division is leaning forward with a community messaging campaign designed to ensure that our Ansbach community members and staff with security clearances have a clear path, not only on where travel is possible in the age of the Coronavirus, but also on how best to travel while keeping within the guidelines of GO1H, and meeting the mandatory / regulatory standards of AR 380-67*

While staff reporting of Foreign Travel remains a priority, the emphasis has recently changed.  The organization and work center supervisors & manager are advised to ensure their employees register for the Department of State’s STEP program; receive appropriate situation awareness training, and directly manage / maintain the employee or service members Foreign Travel Report (FTR) … that is, unless the Garrison staff member has a security clearance.

At this point, all DoD civilians, and military members holding clearances, and traveling beyond the borders of the country they are stationed in, whether it be for leisure or official travel, the travel “must” be processed accordingly by their organization’s S2 via the Foreign Travel Report (FTR)**, and have their travel documented and debriefed on the Defense Information Security System (DISS) platform.

As for Health concerns and traveling this summer safely within the Senior Ranking Officer’s (SRO’s) guidelines, I would urge that those interested review Tab 2 to Annex A of the 7ATC GO1H.   As for current information covering Infection Spread; Mandatory Travel Documentation; and location specific Quarantine Questions on summer travel destinations, the Garrison Security Division recommends you visit the ‘ Re-Open Europa ‘ website:

(*) AR 380-67 specifies the requirement for security clearance holders to report their travels to the S2 office when traveling abroad. (**) The link to the Foreign Travel Report (FTR) can be found by scanning the QR Code on the attached FTR poster, or by clicking on this link:

Please feel free to reach out the garrison security division using the contact information at DSN (314) 587-1525 or at DSN (314) 587-1526.
