ANSBACH, Germany (Nov. 17, 2015) — U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach community members gathered Nov. 16 at the Von Steuben Community Center here to take part in Americans Working Around the Globe’s inaugural Oberpfalz/Franken Area seminar.

AWAG’s mission is “building leaders and transforming communities through leadership development training, promotion of volunteerism and fostering relationships between Americans living overseas and their international neighbors,” said Angie Taggart, the AWAG Oberpfalz/Franken Area representative.

“It’s going great,” Taggart said of the day’s seminar. “We had a great turnout. We had about 50 attendees, and this is our first seminar in the area in over five years. Our area includes Ansbach, Hohenfels, Grafenwoehr and Vilseck. We even had some people come down from Hohenfels and Vilseck.”

Taggart said “Travel on the Cheap” and “Branding to Make Your Marketing Soar” were among the popular classes. If you missed this seminar, AWAG Oberpfalz/Franken Area has a more intensive, weeklong seminar scheduled for May 1 through 6 at Edelweiss Lodge in Garmisch.
