USAG Ansbach smartphone app out now, features easier-to-access garrison info for mobile users

ANSBACH, App FlierGermany (June 23, 2016) – USAG Ansbach has released its new smartphone application, titled The USAG Ansbach App.

This smartphone application contains much of the same information as the website (www.ansbach.army.mil) but in a format friendlier to smartphones.

Like the website, the app includes the following:

  • Hot Topics: The most up-to-date information on potential emergencies, security and safety concerns, unscheduled changes to garrison services, and other important information are available here.
  • Directory: A searchable, alphabetic listing of on- and off-post services is available here.
  • Events: This page includes upcoming garrison events.
  • Local news: The latest in Army News Service stories relevant to the USAG Ansbach community are here.
  • Newsletter sign-up: Here you can input your name and email address for the twice weekly newsletter about upcoming community events, recent news, and more.

All phone numbers on the app, which include the directory, emergency numbers, and more, are callable with a touch of the finger.

Furthermore, the website hosts various useful website links to important services such as USAG Ansbach social media, Interactive Customer Evaluation, and show times for first-run feature-length films at the Bismarck Kaserne cinema.

The USAG Ansbach App also serves as a portal to learn about the garrison history, mission, and kasernes and barracks.
