‘Attitude of Gratitude’: RSO hosts community Thanksgiving prayer luncheon

ANSBACH, Germany (Nov. 24, 2015) — The U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach Religious Support Office hosted a community Thanksgiving prayer luncheon in partnership with the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade unit ministry teams Nov. 19 at the Katterbach Chapel.

Approximately 120 Soldiers, Family members civilians attended the event, which included prayers of thanks for the blessings community members enjoy, for the freedoms they cherish, for the community, for the armed services and for the nation. Chaplain (Lt. Col.) R. Kent Walker, the outgoing garrison chaplain, delivered a message to attendees about the importance of giving thanks in times of abundance and in times of scarcity.

Afterward, community members gathered in the Chapel Fellowship Hall for the Thanksgiving lunch, courtesy of RSO and the 12th CAB unit ministry teams.
