ANSBACH, Germany (Oct. 11, 2016) – Klaus der Baumeister, a beaver that recently took residence at Soldiers Lake, made a visit to the Ansbach Housing office recently. Upon arrival, he surprised us all and introduced us to his new Frau, Sabine die Baumeisterin.
He presented all of the required dependent paperwork, and his file is now complete. They related that they are planning a family in the spring, and they are very excited about their new home. Sabine said that the leaves and branches are delicious, but Klaus was none too happy that many of the trees along the road had been painted with a nasty-tasting substance. We assured him that there are plenty of trees along the back of the lake that are just as tasty. He agreed, but stated that it’s a long swim. Sabine told him he was getting fat and needed the exercise. Apparently, he did not appreciate the blunt nature of her comment.
Sabine stated that she loves their new home. She was hesitant when Klaus urged her to move from Neukirchen to Soldiers’ Lake, but now she’s just fallen in love with the place and the people. Klaus then muttered something about not loving the DPW Environmental folks that painted the trees with the foul-tasting paint, and Sabine slapped him with her tail.
So, Klaus and Sabine are busily remodeling their new home in preparation for the winter – and in preparation for their Family this spring.
