ANSBACH, Germany (July 29, 2016) – Due to recent inquiries received regarding the State of Bavaria’s plans to house refugees in buildings in the vicinity of Bleidorn Kaserne, the following information is provided:
- The building project began in March on the host nation property.
- The current project will encompass 32 housing units, each with enough space for four residents.
- The state of Bavaria intends to house residents who have been vetted and granted asylum in Germany; these residents have the legal right to reside and work in Germany.
The USAG Ansbach’s security team will continue to work closely with host nation security forces in order to ensure the safety and security of our community.
