ADVISORY: US personnel advised to avoid several Easter weekend demonstrations in Erlangen, Ansbach, Fürth, Nürnberg

Several related demonstrations are scheduled to take place Saturday and Monday in Erlangen, Ansbach, Fürth and Nürnberg. U.S. personnel are advised to avoid demonstrations and, if encountering one, to calmly leave the area.

A demonstration at Erlangen takes place Saturday at noon starting at Hugenottenplatz and moves to Langemarkplatz by 1 p.m.

A demonstration is scheduled to take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the area of Katterbach Kaserne at USAG Ansbach, and a rally is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. in downtown at Martin-Luther-Platz.

A demonstration is scheduled to take place Monday at 12:30 p.m. at the Auferstehungskirche in Fürth. From there, the demonstrators plan on riding by bike or by U-Bahn to Nürnberg.

A demonstration is scheduled to take place Monday in Nürnberg beginning at Olof-Palme-Platz northeast of the Altstadt (old town), and then at 2 p.m. to move to Lorenzkirche in the Altstadt. A joint demonstration is set to take place at Kopernikusplatz south of the Altstadt at 2 p.m. and then to move to Lorenzkirche. The demonstrations converge at Lorenzkirche by 3 p.m. and will remain there until 4:30 p.m.
